Community Information
Emergency Response
At Galvatech we have implemented comprehensive management systems at our site to ensure that our operations are safe and do not affect the local community. As part of these systems, Galvatech has put in place an Emergency Plan which details how it will act in the event of an emergency on site.
Galvatech’s Emergency Plan sets out how it will respond in the event of local, site and external emergencies. The plan is shared with regulators, and emergency services and is updated whenever new information becomes available.
For further information on our Emergency Plan and how it interacts with neighbours and the community, read our Emergency Information Sheet.
The Emergency Plan incorporates the site’s Pollution Incident Response Management Plan (PIRMP) which has been prepared in accordance with Section 5.7A of the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997. In the event of a pollution incident, as defined by Section 5.7 of this Act, Galvatech will implement its Emergency Plan and notify relevant authorities and other stakeholders. For such incidents, Galvatech will immediately contact the following authorities.
